Cowichan Lake, Vancouver Island, BC
Cowichan Lake Education Centre nestles among 42 acres of Douglas Fir forest with 600 feet of secluded shoreline on one of Vancouver Island’s largest lakes. Golden sand beach, crystal clear water, canoes available, easy hiking trails accessible. The centre is located at the West Coast gateway to the Carmanah-Walbran Provincial Park, (about 60 miles north of Victoria, BC and 60miles south of Nanaimo, BC.)
From Highway 1, look for Highway 18, just north of Duncan, and turn west. Drive for 25 km.

Traveling by Car:
If you are traveling by car, and do not live on Vancouver Island, there are three ferry options you can use. Check departure times and locations at the following sites:
From BC Mainland to Vancouver Island
From the Olympic Peninsula, Washington (Port Angeles to downtown Victoria )
From Anacortes, Washington to Sydney, BC (40 min south of Victoria)
Arriving by Plane, Train, or Ferry:
Pacific Coach Lines bus will take you to downtown Victoria or Nanaimo. You will need to arrange for transportation to Lake Cowichan, or take more buses:
Greyhound bus to Duncan from Victoria and Nanaimo downtown bus terminals
Duncan to Lake Cowichan — local bus schedules
